IT'S A TRAP

Apologies for the lateness, residents, but Pheebs was captured by life this last weekend, so you're getting your event thread now! And perhaps life was inspiring, given your event this month is...

So sorry, you want to be freed from the suspense? Too bad, but I can say the theme of the month will be Trapped. Inoue finds the wanderlust growing around town near as worrying as the idea of free will. So, you're getting two new things this month. One? Some rather permanent construction work on the roads, disrupting traffic out of town and around most of Asphodel. Two? An event to keep you kids put. But what sort shall it be? You decide, players!

Option 1: Put them to sleep! Inoue is the sandman with a surplus of fine grains, so good luck not yawning.
Option 2: Throw away the key! Wherever you went inside today? The doors aren't opening again anytime soon.
Option 3: Blow them away! You might go exploring, but not on your feet! Stay inside, that wind's mighty cold.
Player's Choice: Have your own idea how to keep the residents from wandering about? Do share!

It's that time again!

Events and app-this-plz will be rolling around again this time next week, and plans need to be made!

And what is the theme of the month of February? Hearts, of course.

But it's up to you, if we spend the month on happy dreams or squeamish nightmares. So, without further ado, your potential events for picking and voting.

Option 1: Share a heart. Even the shyest of residents feels the need to talk to anyone they pass. Reach out to your fellow NPC!
Option 2: Break a heart. Everyone's just a little too prone to being weepy this month. Everything's so touching!
Option 3: Cut out a heart. Because what's a Valentine's without the horror flick option? If you want a bloody mess, pick this.

The Great Big Pre-Opening OOC Mingle & Plotting Post

Hi, thanks for considering Asphodel Meadows! The game is set to open ICly on December 15.

In the meantime, since Asphodel's a semi-AU setting, let's brainstorm together in preparation - or at least meet & greet other interested players. (Alternatively, feel free to also use this post just to declare your intent to play!)

Some things to keep in mind when developing your Asphodel!AU:

-- Backstories can be vague! In fact, that'd add to the feeling of "wrongness" as the character in question begins to awaken.

-- Backstories should be unhappy! This is purgatory, after all. Mundane suffering's the name of the game.

-- Feel free to add to the setting! The specific shops, etc. to be expected in Asphodel have been left open-ended on purpose: while ICly it's all the product of one puppetmaster, OOCly the town's shaped by the people who play in it.
